About ChessTV

ChessTV changes how people experience competitive chess.

Chess has all the elements of a world-class sport — drama, rivalry, psychology, and high stakes — yet it is rarely presented in a way that reflects its depth and intensity. ChessTV exists to fix that.

We focus on tournaments, players, and games — not just moves on a board, but the stories, momentum shifts, and human decisions behind them.

Who We Are

Founder of ChessTV

ChessTV is built by a small team combining deep chess experience with modern product and technology thinking.

ChessTV was founded by Nihad Ibrahimli, who grew up in a small town in Azerbaijan and began playing chess at the age of five through a free, community-run chess school. What began as a way to keep a child busy became a lifelong foundation — shaping how he thinks, competes, and handles pressure. Chess opened doors far beyond where he started and instilled lessons in discipline, resilience, and strategic decision-making that still guide ChessTV today.

Beyond chess expertise, ChessTV is built with a strong product mindset — turning complex systems into clear, usable platforms. Every feature is designed to be accurate, accessible, and scalable for a global audience

Together, ChessTV is built at the intersection of chess expertise and modern digital product design.

The Problem We’re Solving

Chess is often perceived as:

  • niche
  • overly technical
  • inaccessible to newcomers

Yet at the highest level, chess is one of the most intense competitive environments in any sport.

The issue isn’t the game. It’s how the game is presented.

ChessTV is designed to make chess easier to follow without simplifying it — helping users understand what’s happening, why it matters, and where the tension is.

What We’re Building

ChessTV is a platform for watching and understanding competitive chess.

We focus on:

  • tournament coverage and live games
  • player profiles and performance context
  • key moments, turning points, and game narratives
  • historical data combined with modern analysis

Our goal is to turn tournaments into experiences — not just game listings.

Our Vision

We want chess to be treated like the global competitive sport it is.

A place where:

  • beginners feel comfortable following elite events
  • experienced players gain deeper insight
  • fans return daily to see what’s happening

Chess is one of the most accessible games in the world. It doesn’t care where you’re from or what resources you have. ChessTV reflects that mindset: open, global, and driven by merit.

Where We’re Headed

ChessTV is still early. We’re building iteratively, learning fast, and growing with our audience.

Our long-term goal is to become the home for chess tournaments — a platform where people watch it, follow it, and care about it.

If you believe chess deserves better storytelling and better tools, you’re exactly who we’re building this for.

Welcome to ChessTV.
